DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) ? The Perot Museum has opened an environmentally friendly summer exhibit designed to let visitors ? not museum employees ? create the exhibit.
?Recycle Reef?, which features 90 work stations, allows visitors to transform recyclable materials into creative works of art. Cardboard is available for drawing, or visitors can make a sculpture. The art can either be taken home or added to the huge display that?s set up to look like an ocean reef.
The exhibit will constantly change as more works are added throughout its 10-week run. After it closes on August 25th, the entire exhibit will be recycled ? including the cardboard tables, walls ? even the empty glue sticks and dried-out markers.
The exhibit is free for museum members and $2 for non-members. The Perot Museum recommends people buy tickets in advance. For more information, visit the Perot Museum?s website.
