This week has not been a very good one in the Baby Insomniac household due to my little girl having her first proper illness. We have done well to get to 16 months without anything more than a few colds but it meant that my hypochondriac tendencies were tested when I was faced with fevers, rapid breathing and vomiting.
After a visit to the out of hours GP we were told that it wasn?t anything serious so we settled into our seats on the sofa and that?s where we stayed for three days. The cuddles were lovely but I was starting to seize up from being in the same position for so long so I was relieved when she woke up this morning and seemed a bit better.
I think Dad2BabyInsomniac found it a bit difficult seeing her so ill, it was a bit like handling a newborn baby again. You have to be all gentle and quiet ? ?not something that dads of toddlers are used to!
Things look better today though so hopefully it will be a little while before I have to sit in the bath listening to her calling my name 225 times. I know you probably get used to it ?but seeing your kids ill has to be one of the worst bits of parenting.
See you next week when I will most likely be back to talking about marriage!
What about your saucepans?- Sanky Panky
Several relationships between Dominicans and foreign women work well, but there is a breed apart known as Sanky Pankies. These are men who make a business out of relationships. They will usually work in tourist businesses, hotels, bars, tour agencies, and their main source of income is making foreign women fall for them and then send them money on a regular basis. They will often have several women on the go at once. For those on the outside looking in, it can be unbelievable that women would allow themselves to be scammed. However, Sankies can be very persuasive

She showed me all of the letters and cards I had written you while you were away She keeps them with your urn and it makes me so glad to know you are still surrounded by our love .

What is it that I don?t like about strip clubs?
Last night my partner went on a stag do. Of course, they went to the strippers. I knew this would happen, I laid down my rules & he had permission, yet why, now do I have this awful uneasy feeling eating away at me?
What is it?
Why are there no male strip clubs? Why don?t women feel that they need to seek out this form of ?entertainment? to such an extent as men do? When I think?

circusmums- Faking Orgasms? Nooo, never darling!
I have a friend who argues she?d never fake an orgasm as it gives the man the wrong impression. If they are not hitting the spot, but we let them believe they are, they?ll keep on missing the spot. She prefers to politely tell them that it didn?t do it for her and explain what would. I think that?s healthy and probably a much better idea, especially if you?re hoping on along term relationship with him.

Mum2babyinsomiac
Hi, I?m Jess. Partner to Dad2BabyInsomniac and mummy to a little girl who was born in November 2010. I?m currently at college studying to become a massage therapist with the aim of specialising in pregnancy and baby massage. I started blogging last year when my little girl was a baby insomniac and I quickly became absorbed in the amazing new world that it opened up to me, so absorbed that I am still going, even though my baby insomniac is now a toddler who sleeps all night.
