Report: Facebook Pulling Online Gambling Ads from Its Games ...

There are reports surfacing that Facebook has stopped any ads promoting online gambling on any of its fun online games in the Netherlands. The Dutch Betting and Gaming Act does not allow any ads promoting online gambling is illegal in the country.

Facebook is just following up on a request to block all gambling ads from any of their games in the Netherlands. The Netherlands government is worried about fraud and crime that comes with online gambling and is taking precautions to keep its citizens from becoming addicted.

Online gambling sites, such as Paddypower Games, could be met with a gambling tax of 20 percent and will have to meet "very strict conditions" when the online gambling market is expected to be opened up competition in 2015.
