Tougeki 2012 Console Game Rule Information Published ? Shoryuken

After a long period of silence, Tougeki has finally published the official rules for the consoles games at Tougeki 2012, SoulCalibur V and Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

In contrast to the arcade titles, the number of regional qualifiers in Japan was quite low, while the number of last-chance qualifiers is significantly high. Both games have a 32-player bracket for the finals tournament, with 10+ slots open for last-chance qualifying players. Those qualifiers, which will be the day of the each tournament, are planned to have a 64-player or greater bracket, giving a large number of players a chance to compete in the finals. There is however an actual upper limit to entrants, so if the entry forms are completely used up, then entry will be closed.

The last-chance qualifiers for the console games tournaments will run concurrently with the actual tournaments for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited (SCV), and Persona 4 The Unlimited in Mayonaka Arena & Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike (UMvC3), so players in the console qualifiers cannot participate in the above titles or vice versa.
