Marc A. Pierre, MS PT

The Center for Physical Health offers an experience base of more than 32 years working with individuals with Parkinson?s disease.? Our integrative therapies are drawn from a wide range of disciplines, combining highly effective physical therapy with dynamic rehabilitation exercise.? In addition to traditional approaches, treatments at the Center encompass Manual Therapy, The Feldenkrais Method?, CranioSacral Therapy, Therapeutic Massage, Yoga Therapy, and more. ?Rehabilitation programs are tailored to each individual?s needs and may include Pilates, the Gyrotonic Expansion System? and a broad array of therapeutic exercise.

The Center?s environment is designed to minimize the overload of information impacting the nervous system, providing a better foundation for the Parkinson?s patient to benefit from our skilled and experienced hands-on care.? Focused, personal one-on-one time and attention resonates with a nervous system that is already challenged in its information processing and motor outcome.

Parkinson?s patients can further benefit from our Art of Self-Care programs, whether learning to calm their mind and body, re-establish connections between their brain and nerves, bones and muscles or improve balance and coordination.

The Center?s highly trained staff is committed to awareness training, movement instruction, injury prevention and self-care. ?They enjoy affiliations with several professional organizations, including the American Physical Therapy Association and Feldenkrais Guild of North America.? Therapists and practitioners are dedicated to patient education, providing the knowledge, skills and tools that patients need to enhance their function and quality of life.? Our trained professionals provide tactile and verbal feedback to increase patients? physical awareness and influence their quality of movement, balance, flexibility, fluidity and subtle movement control.

Time and again, patients have been amazed at the results they experience at the Center for Physical Health ? a quality of life and health they never dreamed possible.
