SEOUL, South Korea ? South Korean Catholic, Buddhist, Protestant and other religious leaders are heading to North Korea amid signs of easing tension between the countries.
The delegation departed Wednesday for the northeastern Chinese city of Shenyang, where they are to fly to the North Korean capital of Pyongyang later in the day.
They're scheduled to meet with North Korean religious leaders and visit a scenic mountain during their four-day trip.
South Korea has toughened restrictions on civilian travels to the North in the wake of a warship sinking blamed on a North Korean torpedo attack last year.
But Seoul recently allowed Buddhist monks and a prominent orchestra maestro to visit North Korea amid international efforts to resume negotiations on the North's nuclear ambitions.
