Google holding an Android event on July 24

android-event-google

Google has just invited developers and press members for an Android related event scheduled for July 24. This event could finally mark the announcement of Android 4.3 along with the Nexus 7 successor or even the Moto X smartphone. Details are scarce at this moment, but the invite says it?s a breakfast with Sundar Pichai, who heads the Chrome and Android division over at Google.

We?re guessing it is going to be the announcement of either of the aforementioned devices. The next gen Nexus 7 will be sold directly by Google, so we can expect that to be announced. Also, it has been well over a year since Google announced the Nexus 7, so a refresh is in order.

Android 4.3 is almost a certainty to be honest as Google left us wanting for more at the I/O event back in May and this is as good a time as any to launch the newest version of Android. But since we don?t have confirmation of either, we can only speculate for now.

Make sure you mark your calendars for 9AM Pacific Time next Wednesday.
