Rome man charged with child molestation

Authorities arrested a Rome man Thursday on a child molestation accusation, Floyd County Jail reports state.

Yordi Giron, 18, of 7 Jessie Head Drive, is accused of having sex with a child younger than 16, jail records state.

?We received an allegation,? said detective Stephanie Hill-Hudson. ?We investigated it, but I can?t go into any specifics of this case.?

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency on Friday had a hold on Giron, meaning he can?t leave even if he makes his $11,200 bond, jail officials said.
