Buying condo - Rental sooner or primary residence ... - Zillow Real ...

I'm looking to purchase my first home in the Atlanta area. I'll be moving there next year to attend Emory in 2014.?

I'm ready to purchase now - probably a 2 bdrm condo. However, I'm wondering if it's better to wait until I'm ready to relocate (May-Aug next year).

Reasons to buy now - Probably lower price, not have to hassle with it when moving back to US from abroad (lived abroad for past several years), still employed....

Reasons to wait - easier to finance primary resident, lower interest rate, not have to pay property manager for a year or manage from abroad, etc...

Thoughts? Should I just start looking now and buy anytime I find "it"? Getting it now, I could probably lock in a renter for a full year.... but in 6 months, it might not be possible. Can't really afford to pay mortgage while paying rent abroad.
